UK Streets Boasting High Priced Houses
Economic virility has no doubt returned to the UK housing market. The housing boom started more than a year ago and the market continues to boast quite a healthy run of house price increases. These increases have created property owners with residence values in the seven figure range.
The UK’s streets are now crowded with homes priced at a million pounds or more. The number of streets now sits at more than 10,000.
Britain’s most expensive streets based on the average house price are:
1. Kensington Palace Gardens, London W8, £42,730,706
2. The Boltons, London SW10, £26,570,341
3. Grosvenor Crescent, London SW1X, £22,293,470
According to Zoopla, almost half a million flats and houses are home to millionaires based on the value of their residences.
Spokesperson for Zoopla, Lawrence Hall, commented on the high priced addresses, saying: "London boasts all of Britain's 20 priciest addresses. Prime properties in the capital have long been a magnet for the super-wealthy looking for a safe investment asset.
"For the lucky few who can afford these stratospheric price tags, the fabulous mansions on streets like Kensington Palace Gardens and the Boltons are offering very strong returns.
"However, you don't need to be a billionaire to get a chance to own the crème de la crème of property on offer. In Wales and the North East, you can still snap up a prime property in the region's most desirable streets for little over £1m."
Almost 40% of the 10,000 streets with houses sporting millionaire price tags are located in London.
