Rightmove Announces Record High Traffic Levels from Interested Home Buyers
When hopeful home buyers want to look for a new property they often take to the Internet and look through sites of property listers such as Rightmove. These sites are very attractive to buyers as a way to narrow down the choices quickly as to what properties they would want to look at further. Demand according to Rightmove is increasing with the Web site recording record high traffic levels and a record number of leads for advertisers. They lay claim to a 50% increase of leads when comparing February 2013 to February 2012.
Miles Shipside, director of Rightmove, stated, “Whilst it’s great to be listed as the sixth busiest website in the UK, we’re delighted to report a record jump in leads delivered to member advertisers. It confirms that the investments we continue to make are not only enabling us to put our member advertisers in front of the largest online audience of home-hunters, but that this audience continues to convert into quality business opportunities for agents and developers.
“To see lead levels increase by over 50% year-on-year shows that those searching for property on Rightmove are motivated to move and in a position to follow-up on properties that catch their eye. As well as overall market conditions improving, many agents are reporting a positive start to the year in their local market and it’s great that Rightmove is able to play its part in this activity.
“A jump in users of our mobile platforms after Christmas has become a seasonal phenomenon and one we are able to really capitalise on thanks to the investments and innovations we make in mobile throughout the year. More mobile innovations are planned for 2013, including a new Mobile Site and further enhancements to our existing apps. With nearly three million downloads of Rightmove Apps and record leads levels, home-hunters are accessing Rightmove anytime, anyplace, anywhere.”
