Personal Touch Assisting Borrowers with Available Remortgage Products

The remortgage numbers speak for themselves.  As the day for the increase to the base rate draws near, many UK homeowners sitting on variable rate home mortgages have yet to make any decision as to changing into a fixed rate.  The uncertainty over what will happen next in the economy has led to this hesitation on making any changes, according to Personal Touch.

As a result of this collective behavior, Personal Touch, a financial products distributor, launched a campaign that gives mortgage owners better access to remortgaging products.  The campaign partners with lenders and is known as a “confident to remortgage” project.  

Remortgaging has seen a surge since the beginning of 2011, but the industry is still down almost 30% compared with the figures from 2010.

Personal Touch sales and marketing director, Dev Malle, commented on the new project and its ability to assist those who are not fully confident in a remortgage product, saying: "The economy continues to put pressure on household finance, so it's important that advisers can help their clients to access the right deal.

"Through the ‘confident to remortgage' campaign, Personal Touch has provided its advisers with access to the best lenders and deals around. This is backed up by support to make sure advisers can give their clients the best mortgage for them.

"These deals won't be around forever, so it's time to give clients some mortgage confidence."

The campaign is taking a comprehensive approach at helping possible borrowers by focusing on enabling advisers to have direct access to lenders and products so they are able to secure the best deals for their clients.  Personal Touch will be supporting advisers by contacting their clients and encouraging them to take a close look at their current mortgage product.
