First Time Buyers Have Plenty of Reason to Stay Interested in Housing Market

First time house buyers are finding the current climate in the housing market and lending market to be quite attractive. There are many opportunities for those shopping to buy a home, but perhaps first time buyers are finding the most.

Usually for first time buyers a major difficulty is saving up for their deposit, but lenders are so competitive currently that they are introducing mortgage products that make saving for a deposit less of a worry. Some lenders are offering 100% loans with no deposit and there are other products that are helping those new to the property ladder home buyers to become homeowners.

Asking prices for properties have been declining in many areas of the UK. This is also helping keep the attention of first time buyers. In fact, a recent study from an online property lister revealed that first time buyers are finding the market so much more affordable that they are opting for homes that might not have been considered a starter home in years past.

Since many first time buyers are also older than in generations past due to the difficulty of getting on the property ladder they are in need of more than the usual small flat and are instead opting for 3 bedroom homes with outside gardens perfect for an already established and growing family.

Not only are lenders offering more creative mortgage products for home buyers, but the interest rates attached are in some cases historically low for that lender.

Continued low interest rates, lower required deposits if any, and more affordable housing prices are sure to keep home buyers interested in the housing market, including first time buyers.
