Buy to Let Property Investing Yields Handsome Returns

A recent industry survey has indicated the vast amounts of positive returns which can be amassed through buy to let investing. The UK housing market is a prime area to invest in and then reinvest in, according to the survey. Over the past 18 years, buy to let property investment has a return on investment, or ROI, of more than 16% yearly. Compared to the stock market, buy to let investments resulted in a 9% greater amount of income during the same time period.
Buy to let investing within the UK housing market is not a new practice, but a practice which has been exercised for decades. During the last two decade period however, low interest rates and rising property values have made buy to let investing an especially lucrative area. For those investing in buy to let properties, for every £1 invested, the return has been a handsome £14.90.
Ever since special buy to let mortgages became available in 1996, investors have found the market a bountiful place to see money grow.
Purchasing buy to let properties with a 25% deposit compared with cash buyers has also proven to be the best method. Compared with those making cash purchases, obtaining funding through a buy to let mortgage has enabled profits to soar. Purchasing with cash instead has only netted an annual return of 9.4%.
Using equity stored in properties to remortgage then put down the 25% is a way many investors are seeing flexibility in a remortgage. After the first purchase of a property in this way, the process is simply being repeated over and over. Amateur investors are reaping big returns through this easy to use method of investing.
